The Hong Kong Countryside Foundation Ltd (HKCF) is a charitable institution of public nature established to provide a vehicle to enable people keen to conserve the countryside for the long-term benefit of Hong Kong public to come together and work to turn dreams into projects.

We are now inviting applications for the following position:PART-TIME OPERATIONS OFFICER



Major Responsibilities:

- To assist the HKCF / Hakka Home (A Social Enterprise) to oversee the operations of the restored HAKKA guesthouse for the project “Hakka Life Experience Village at Lai Chi Wo” in North East New Territories as a model of village revival;
- Handle room reservation, changes, and booking.
- Ensure reservation record and status are updated at all times.
- Answer enquiry on booking and redirect activities to the experiential team.
- Receiving guests during check-in and make sure the stays are up to operational standard.
- Manage a team of Housekeeping and Night Warden part- time staffs, assign duties according to the reservation and their workable schedule.
- Maintain clear records of the attendance of the housekeeping and night warden team. Prepare salary spreadsheet and issue salary to respective staffs.
- Monitor the readiness of the rooms regularly. Report to Technical team on defects and follow up on maintenance record.
- Monitor the inspection, inventory records prepared by housekeeping team.
- Maintain stable resources for operational use such as daily necessity for rooms and cleaning items, etc.



Requirement:

- Possess a friendly, helpful, patient and polite personality.
- Good command of both written and spoken Cantonese and English.
- Basic software knowledge including Microsoft Words and Excel processing.
- Possess some hospitality background is a plus, but not a must.
- Can handle emergency situation and make appropriate actions according to guidelines and operational manual.
- Applicants stationed at Lai Chi Wo will be advantage and preferred, approx. around 6 working hours per week online and offline at Lai Chi Wo (LCW), N.T..
- Report to HKCF/ HAKKA HOME Manager on bi-weekly / monthly basis in town or at LCW.
